South Padre Island Fishing Report 11-1-10

Red fishing has been great as of late. The water is cooling down and clearing up since the summer storms. We are actually able to site cast to a lot of them. However meat has been the go to bait for most.  The last three trips we’ve managed limits of reds with a few trout thrown in too. Trout have not bee as thick as they were a couple of weeks ago.

Cut bally-hoo is the bait of choice for now, with Gulp for site casting. Top waters have been working as well when the grass isn’t too heavy that it fowls the plug.
