Valintines Day

Monday, February 15th, 2010

It’s still winter but were still fishing when we can. The weather this year has been the worst I’ve seen it for a long time. It’s going to be interesting to see what happens this year with the influx of fish coming back into the bay system.

As of late I’ve managed to get out a few times inbetween northerns and the fishing has been slow to modorate. What we’ve been catching has come on white gulp again fished slowly in the potholes in south bay and Mexiquito Flats. Yesturday, John and Jimmie ended up with 5 reds and two trout along with a bunch of ladyfish, big ones too.

It’s still winter and we’re still fishing when we can. This has been the worst winter I can remember in a long time. Of course most of you could probably say the same thing.

As of late when we can get out we’ve been catching a few. The trout are still running in the 24″ range and fat. The reds are healthy too.

John and Jimmy ended up with 2 trout and 5 reds Yesturday with Jimmy catching the biggest one at 28″.

It’s been a little tough but you know what the say, when the going gets tough the tough go fishin:)
